He's signed according to The Guardian now. I'm sure the phrase book will still prove a problem for his tiny mind

          PENNANT COMPLETES ZARAGOZA MOVE

          Thursday July 9,2009
          Daily Express

Real Zaragoza have completed the signing of Jermaine Pennant after his release by Liverpool.

The former Arsenal youngster passed a medical with the Spanish outfit and will join their bid for survival next season after being promoted back to the Primera Division.

The 26-year-old becomes Zaragoza's first signing of the summer and joins for nothing on a three-year deal.

Pennant told the club's website, realzaragoza.com: "I wanted to come to Spain and I had offers from important teams in Europe but joined Real Zaragoza.

"I really want to get started and do well in the league."

Pennant spent time on loan at Portsmouth last season after being frozen out at Anfield.

The former England Under-21 winger impressed for Liverpool in the 2007 Champions League final defeat by AC Milan but found opportunities increasingly limited from then on.

Didn't he criticise the amount of 'foreign' players in England? Hypocritical little wotsit if he did

That's a relief. I really thought we might get something good out of him, he has talent, and I thought that he might settle down and apply himself. Just shows how wrong you can be.

Spanish league football might suit him... but I can see him having disciplinary problems through frustration at the langage problems. He was bad enough at giving jip to refs in the Prem

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think all spanish contracts have to have a buy out clause, relative to the wages, term of contract etc......they needn't worry about that little clause being activated anytime soon though!

Either they haven't watched him whatsoever or, got him mixed up with someone else who can actually play football
