    Take over close?

I got the below from Shankly Gates. I never really visit their site so I don't know how credible the writer is.

Investment is one topic which attracts more bull **** than any other with so many clowns just making crap up and flinging it at various forums but you never know....maybe we're finally getting closer to a take over? Thoughts?

    Liverpool Takeover News

    By Chris McMullan
    Date: 13/10/2006

Speculation about the future of Liverpool's ownership has been raging for years now from a dodgy takeover by the now ousted Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra to local Scouse building magnet Steve Morgan of Redrow Homes fame. Rumours from credible media sources suggest the wait may be over.

Regulars to the site will vouch that we don't tend to jump on shock speculation, but we can't possibly keep this to ourselves.
It's nothing new to mention the Kraft family connection who has been courted publicly by Rick Parry, but the latest gossip is that there's also a consortium from the south of England in the running.

It's neck to neck at the moment but a little bird has told us that one of the pair will be announced shortly.

Unfortunately for Morgan, his horse is only tipped as a rank outsider with the current board of Moores & Co intent of keeping him out of the frame. Morgan's ties to Liverpool have made him a fans champion but his is offer may not be what the current bosses are looking for.

Personally, Moores has been one of the most stable consistent backers in the Premiership over the past ten years so I'm not overly keen to see him leave, but the lure of gold is always tempting. For me, any change at the top would require a man/consortium who has the tradition of the club and it's fans at heart. With the exception of Chelsea most clubs would voice similar sentiment but it's something that's important to the majority of Reds.

The stadium and investment our 2 separate issues, The stadium is going ahead, The supporters club has now moved to the kop and planning permission should of gone through for new offices so the remainder of offices/houses on Annie road can be knocked down for the new stadium.
The sports centre on Stanley park will be knocked down shortly.
The club has now got the lease on stanley park so the club can borrow the money from the banks to start the build, Shame the council took so long.

Who's going doing the building? hope its not that wembley crowd of chancers.

On the investment; I've given up listyen or reading anything do with investment in Liverpool. All it does is make me angry when nothing seems to happen. People will say its happening behind the scenes blah blah blah, I don't care. Just leave it behind the scenes till a deal is done.

Well in all fairness LFC have divulged very little about the new stadium, and Parry has played it down time and time again, it's the papers and t'internet that cause all the fuss.

If I travel up to Anfield on our local supporter's club bus, I always stop there to 'use the facilities' once I get off the bus , after which we usually have a swift pint before hitting the Sandon or Park.

Does anyone else have any interesting stories about where they habitually urinate?
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
