Makes no odds really. It's all forgotten about as soon as the real stuff starts. You see all sorts of laughable results. Arsenal drew with Barnet yesterday.

Not that fussed about the actual result, but it'd be nice to get into the swing of things and maybe create some chances and find some cohesion to take into the proper season. Friendly or not, playing ****e isnt a pleasant habit to get into.

It probably doesnt mate, but subconsciously, i think it'd be better for the lads to start the season in 'good form' and feeling confident off the back of some good performances.

I think you have more of a point towards the end of preseason the first few games are glorified (and money spinning) fitness exercises really.
