Well, maybe they do want to leave, for personal reason we're not in the ken about, and don't want to make a statement as they don't want to piss of the fans they love.Originally posted by Matt View PostThat's a fair point but this merry-go-round could be stopped by a statement from each of the players. If they want to leave, good luck to them, we'll move on but they shouldn't hide behind unhappy wives or agent speak.
We can only guess. A guess is no reason to turn against your own, that's just bull****. Complete bull****.
Loyalty until you have evidence otherwise. That or shut up about loyalty as you don't possess any yourself anyways.

Of course a lot of it is based on guesswork and I have filled in the blanks....last time I checked this was an Internet Forum and we aren't privvy to all the facts.Originally posted by rudedog View PostSorry, but it is based on guess work - you've heard a few things from 'the media' and have just filled in the blanks yourself.
For all you know, Mascheranos wife has been unhappy here for a while.
You are taking one quote from Xabi about the tax situation and building your whole 'greed' case against him based on that. The tax situation may just well be one of many reasons why he wants to go home.
When you talk about making sacrifices to earn a crust, perhaps they consider that by living and working in the UK they have already made those and now want to reap the benefits ie - by choosing where they live and work.
Thats what we do though, give opinions on the information we have at hand.
I've highlighted the Alonso quote as this illustrates the modern day footballer. He earns £100k plus a week and still sees fit to complain about his finances...
Just where is the sacrifice exactly in moving from Corinthians to earning £50-100k a week in the UK? They may well believe they're making sacrifices, but they aren't really what we in the real world would call sacrifices are they? They are as I've said, inconveniences. They are more detached from us the fans now than they ever have been.

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

After the way he was treated last year I can understand his decision. I really didn't like his comments about his finances though, especially in this climate.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostTo be fair to Xabi, it doesn't seem like Rafa wants him to stay either. Mascherano is being a cunt, yes, but I don't think we know everything that's been going on with Alonso.

Yes, he's a cunt. He's sending his agent to do the talking for him in the media and contacting Barca behind our backs. He's being a massive cunt to the club that gave him a chance and saved his career after rotting on West Ham's bench.Originally posted by EwarWoo View PostBecause he wants his family to be happy? ****, I must be a cunt too.

Then it is blind loyalty.Originally posted by EwarWoo View PostBut as I have loyalty my guess is based upon giving him the benefit of the doubt

I haven't mentioned the word loyalty and I don't have a problem if they want to leave. All I said was if they want to go, lets see them grow a pair and tell us themselves.Originally posted by EwarWoo View PostWell, maybe they do want to leave, for personal reason we're not in the ken about, and don't want to make a statement as they don't want to piss of the fans they love.

As for not wanting to piss off the fans, well they're doing exactly that.
