Excuse me but if an Argentinian is homesick hows going to Spain going to help?
Argentina and Spain whilst speaking the same language are not the same country are they?
I mean if an English man is homesick would living in Australia help his argument?,no it ruddy wouldn't.

I don't know if it's homesickness or just not being able to settle into the area (none of us do). If it's the latter though then I'd suggest that Spain is more similar in culture and climate to Argentina than Liverpool

Well they never complained at West Ham did they?
If they really want to go then why not cut their losses and hand in a transfer request and get this sorted as soon as possible rather than let agents witter on about perceived hardships which the majority of us fans can,t fathom.

Well when he was sitting on the bench at West Ham there were no complaints from his agent reported in the press were there?

Whilst it might not cure his homesickness, being surrounded by Australians would certainly make him feel a lot better about himself.

                Nah, they're not that bad.

Their sports fans can be whiny, bitter little people, but after seeing threads like this I realise it's not that far removed from home

I don't believe that was the case, I believe it was stated his wife was not happy in the UK and wanted to remain in Spain where she currently lives and is happy.

Unconfirmed speculation of course, but easier to come to the conclusion he wants his family to be happy than the conclusion of he's a cunt if you ask me.

Excuse me mate i have never called either Xavi or Mash a cunt ever on these boards ever and that's part of the problem.
Either of these guys can stop speculation about themselves at any time its quite simple really.
All they have to do is get their agents send a fax telling them they are not interested or if they are send a fax asking for a transfer to our manager, simple no?
We turned them into two of the best players in the world in their respective positions and as soon as they hit the heights they all of a sudden can't cope with living in England.
I remember when Mash first turned up and how he went on about how much he owed Rafa for saving him from mediocrity at the Hammers oh have times changed.

i think that we've all got to expect that at some stage foreign players will leave to return back home.

Xabi alonso has been a fabulous player for us and has done his time abroad. He returns back to madrid a much better player than when he arrived and had matured into one of the finest central midfield playmakers in the world.

His loss will be catastrophic to liverpool. I dont have any such empathy for mascherano as my wife has been pissing me off for most of our married life and that hasnt resulted in me leaving for another climate.

Not good enough. It looks like the xabi deal is very near to completion for 35m euros.

Bollocks we did. We may have aided them move to where they are, but we didn't suddenly turn Vinnie Jones into Kaka. They'd have got development anywhere they went.

Well, I have posted that I wouldn't let them leave, at any cost, however because I think it's out of order to call our current players cunts and mercenaries with no evidence of course I'd be shoving 'em out the door.

Good solid logic, similar to what they're being slated by I suppose.

As I say anyways, not aimed at those quoted but in general, if you're calling them names based on assumptions, and saying they should be loyal, you have no loyalty and you're an hypocrite.

                                What he said.

At the end of the day if you were unhappy with anything (from the food to your missus whingin) being a professional footballer and could fix/change it, most would. I just think certain players can override these 'niggles' if it means they can play in a red shirt. Im not happy at all with the way Alonso particularly has handled the situation..... If he wants to leave i'd open the door for him.
