Smicer was always one of my favourites - he just lacked that toughness to really make it in the Premiership.

Never quite cut it in Premiership footy, went missing in far too many games, but he made up for everything, absolutely everything, in Instanbul. For me that'll always be the most iconic of all 3 goals that night, the really unbelievable moment that made us all believe. I still tingle even thinking about it. After that I couldn't care less that he frustrated the hell out of me for the previous 6 years, the guy's a legend
