    How much for Beckham?

    How much do you think Beckham would come for? Maybe that's the signing Benitez said would piss off Fergie. If we could grab him for 8m, I am sure the commmercial benefits would cover it.

    Personally he is the pass master, remember the last England game he played spraying it around.

    That would leave us 22m to get Silva.

    What do you think to this:

    Becks would add home grown players and has experience of winning Premiership and Champions League?

      Methinks you're going to get a bit of stick here...

      FWIW, I think Beckham would be a great short term option but I think he'd want far too much money, would turn down a move to us based on his Man Utd history (and the $$$ still to be made from it) and Arsenal are a more likely destination.

      Beckham is a better footballer than Alonso, there I've said it, and Mascherano alongside him would be a very balanced chalk and cheese midfield pairing.

                He'd do an ok job for us, got a good passing range, decent engine and would improve our set pieces no end.

                However I believe the Galaxy want stupid money for someone who is 34, also i doubt he'd sign for us (he wants to go back to Milan anyway) plus LA Galaxy have said they won't release him until November.
                We come not to play.

                              No 1- We don't need the Beckham Circus
                              No2- He said before that he would only consider a return to United. I suppose its possible he might consider a playing for a London team but there is no way in hell he would play for Liverpool
