I can't believer this discussion has gone on for 3 pages! Cisse is gash - Bellamy may have a top tally of 13 goals but I'd take him over Cisse everyday - he runs at defenders whilst keeping control of the ball and creating assists something Cisse will never be able to do, I'd take Lecters 17 month old over Cisse.

Kuyt is a great replacement for Morientes who never settled, and Momo is a more than adequate replacement for Didi Hamman.

Got nothing to do with Cisse tho has it, and if we'd been able to offload the stupid **** earlier in the transfer window, we might have ended up with some very different signings.

Dont mistake me. A rejection of Bellamy is not an approval of Cisse. That's what they'd call a false dichotomy.

Bellamy is hard to judge as he has rarely had an entirely fit season. For Rafa to have bought him I assume he thinks this can be fixed along with his attitude which cost him more games due to winding up management teams. I think he offers a lot, so far he has played OK but not scored enough. I'm going to give him a few months before deciding if he was worth the £6m we spent.

The Cisse debate is tired and a bit pointless, if Rafa didn't like him he would have been increasingly unhappy and less likely to play well even if he had stayed. I wish him well and he obviously has some talent but is not a Benitez player so had to go.

No you are crazy for saying he shouldn't be. There's no way on earth that anyone will convince me that Didi isn't better than Zenden.

It was a massive gaffe by Rafa to let him go.

I don't think it was quite that simple though was it? The way I understand it, Rafa would've kept him ideally. He probably told Didi he was clear fourth choice for centre midfield and he'd only start 10-12 games approximately, and Didi reluctantly decided to go and get more regular first team football elsewhere.

Should've ****ing lied to him then.

I mean are you trying to tell me that Didi wouldn't have played at 25 games this season?

That game against Galatasary last week was made for him. 3-0 up, bring on Didi, he'll slow the game down, game over. Instead we've got Zenden who reminds me of Jason McAteer. Plenty of effort, but little or no skill and most importantly no composure.

Mate I couldn't agree with you more, I just don't think there was much we could do about Didi.

                      Spot on.

And on Wednesday night, Momo's still unjured, we could really use Didi, instead we're going to have to play Xabi and Stevie in the center, away from home, very risky.

Rafa could've begged Hamann to stay and offered him a juicy one year contract.

have to say i find the notion of comparing cisse with bellamy as utterly ridiculous.
cisse for me was all fart and no ****. a lazy good for nothing one trick pony.
he sulked in games and went missing on countless occaisons.his attitude stank full stop.
sure , he talked a good game and had pace to burn but his end product was rubbish.
yes he scored some goals but in a team that creates as many chances as liverpool, any half decent striker will get a few.
bellamy is a few months into his career at liverpool, its a tad early to write him off chaps.but i can gaurantee you one thing when he come soff the pitch you can see and know he's given it his all.
how often could you say that about cisse?
Parry is a clown. En Rafa que confiamos

Bellamy is a very good footballer. He has great ability and great balance and can hold the ball up. Cisse kicks the ball and chases it and that's about it as far as his abilty goes on the pitch. Were better rid.

Didi was a great midfielder for us but we shouldn't miss him as much as we are, not with the midfield we currently have. There is no reason why Gerrard and Alonso cannot play together in the middle. Both are great passers and not bad in the tackle either. They should be the best pairing in Europe never mind England. Give it time and it will work. Also I would like to see Zenden getting more games. Even move him to the right he could do no worse than Pennant.
