    Daniel Pacheco

Spanish starlet Daniel Pacheco has extended his contract with the club until June 30, 2012.
The former Barcelona striker has yet to make his competitive debut but featured in Rafael Benitez's first team squad during pre-season.

He is a regular member of the reserve team squad and is also a Spanish youth international.

Meanwhile, striker Craig Lindfield has had his contract at Anfield terminated by mutual consent.

The former FA Youth Cup winner spent last season on loan at Accrington Stanley.

    Good news.

It's been much-discussed but I think his future is as an Iniesta-type attacking midfielder. He has guile, vision, a bit of impudence about him. He's not a confident finisher. I'd like to see more of him in the first team squad.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

dont know if it was mentioned on here already but he had some good banter with the dunmanway captain during the recent friendly.....

the evening before the game, the dunmanway players went and met the lfc players at their hotel. Pacheco played PES with the dunmanway captain (cant remember the guys name) and scored a great free kick.... the next day during the game, when lfc were awarded a free, pacheco took the ball and said to the dunmanway guy "same place as in the game last night" and duly delivered......

although i want LFC to be as sucessful as possible, i'd feckin love if we brought through players from our academy.......both english and foreign......look at barca - inesta, xavi, puyol, messi, busquets, bojan, valdes (should have kept pepe though!) all through the youth team - and in reality, if it wasnt for a loop-hole, they'd have been able to keep fabregas as well (an wouldnt have had to shell out for Pique)

i'd love to see liverpool bring through world class stars like that - then when we do buy players, it is only maybe one a season and we can always go for 30m players!!!

If it wasn't for a loop-hole they'd still have Pacheco I agree though

yes I did have high hopes for him a while back, but I guess thats the way it goes, good luck to him whereever he ends up.

as for young Pachco, really hope he can get some games and stake a claim with us. Really annoys me how some like Wilshire can be hyped up to such an extreme based on a couple of pre season games and none of our kids even gets a sniff of a big up in the press

Pacheco has a big future but Wilshire deserves the praise he is getting. Its been a long time since I seen a british youngster of his talent.

                  Joe Cole probably.
