Are we really any stronger or should I be worried?

Ok well sorry to drag it up again, I just wanted to reply as you quoted one of my posts. It wasn't meant to offend you at all, if it did I apologise.


Perhaps it would be better to view it from an anonymous sense, but my judgement is sadly clouded by 8500 posts in a year, plus others By 'revelling in this ****' I merely meant that..I'm not entirely sure what I meant..the fact that you've highlighted other people's posts is just something you'd do, really . We try to be fair when modding but it isn't easy. Saying that though, I think we are fair. For whatever reason, we haven't consistently had as many problems with any other posters. All anyone wants to do is talk about football amicably


For the record I enjoyed reading your posts about yesterdays game, I agreed with them mostly

I've said before, Craig is a very argumentative person, but surely that's what a debate forum is for? He will go to great lengths to prove his point and will trudge back through past threads to make it, it can be annoying but he is usually pretty conclusive when he does argue. I think that is what frustrates most people - the fact he can be bothered backing his post with evidence, whilst in the main those that argue with him can't.

His and others only problem on this forum is a failure to back down on a point and let sleeping dogs lie. A need to have the last word if you like. But as I said, it takes at least two people to make a thread go of point completely.

Apology accepted. I know where you're coming from, it's just frustrating when i KNOW i didnt mean something a certain way, but people automatically assume that i did, and react accordingly. That's just one thing that gets my goat and i wish people would give the benefit of the doubt on occasion.

Often, as seen with myself and fredo on this thread, some of the disagreements are easily and amicably ironed out, without the need for intervention.

So calling someone thick isnt abuse. Ok.

And when SOME people call someone ****, it's ok (because they dont mean he's absolutely useless at football ( as obviously they're not) just not good enough to play for our first XI). But when others call them ****, that caveat doesnt apply.

However, calling a footballer dumb isnt abuse IMO if it's in a footballing sense. It wasnt Babel's a thick cunt and he's **** at football, IMO it was referring to his game intelligence which clearly is lacking. When people with very few posts just turn up in the match thread to abuse players then it's not on but it is an internet forum and people are allowed to express their opinion. We all know who these type of posters are and they're best left alone or to be dealt with by the mods.

Just act as you'd expect others to be towards you, if it wouldn't offend you to find out a customer of your company, or someone who paid you for work and thought it was bad, had been saying you we're **** or dumb, well if you wouldn't find it abusive and were able to say to yourself, he's only on about my work not me personally, then that's fine.

so in answer to my own question...yes i should be worried...unless we sign a quality striker at least ...as back up to torres for when he is injured or under par like the other day...it would also make a massive difference if this season lucas rierra and babel were to shine...but i wont hold my breath
