its because alonso's gone weve played like idiots. If he was here at least we would have someone in the middle of the pitch who could actually put their foot on the ball and start to dictate play. everytime we get it we give it away straight away.

Its been ****ing rubbish - rafa's got to take lucas off now and move gerrard back into the midfield and bring on benayoun. We need someone to get a hold of this ball and start making things happen for us.

I can see why Rafa went with Babel though, he should really be using his pace much more against Corluka

its not that i think lucas has been our worst player its that without gerrard pulling the strings i cant see us creating too much. The atletico game totally changed when we moved into midfield and i think its pointless playing him in the hole if we cant get the ball to him.

our central midfield is struggling against huddlestone and palacios. Surely that must say something. gerrard has to get on the ball.
