    Benayoun

Start him every game, including every reserve match, and loan him out to Tranmere for a couple of hours every week so he can start there too.

    End ****ing off.

Has to start every game for me too. Did more and showed up more than Babel and Kuyt did combined. Push Stevie back into CM, let him bitch and moan, Yossi needs to be making those dangerous runs around the box as we look 10x better when he does so.

Choosing Babel ahead of Yossi was a monumental **** up today, Babel is wank.

Yossi was probably our best player today despite only playing half an hour

I asked myself at half time, will Rafa finally do it? Will Rafa finally make a substitution at half time? Babel's performance was just so horrible, even I thought Rafa would see it and take him off already, but no. We had to wait another 22 minutes of Babel remaining wank like we all thought he would, until we saw Benayoun coming in and well... completely transforming the team.

Had he come in at half time I honestly think we would have won it. He created about 4 chances which could have been goals, including the penalty that wasn't given, he completely terrorized Tottenham every time he had the ball.

It's beyond me why he didn't start the match. Simply beyond me. He's the third name on the team sheet after Torres and Gerrard, for me.

The other thing I like about Benayoun is that when we need to step up the pace of a game he's one of the players that can do that he gets involved and makes things happen, when other players go missing, we need more players who can do this!

Starting Babel over Benayoun is just criminal.

Babel had a good first season but has done bugger all since then to show that he's good enough for us. He's completely regressed if anything.

We should **** him and Dosenna off, get hopefully £12m for the pair and put the money towards one better player - a CB or forward - because neither of these two would be missed.

I refer you to Bob Brewer. He's been farming in the heart of the Norfolk Broads for forty years. The rich, fertile earth of the Broads allows his potatoes to thrive. But he still checks his crop every day to make sure his potatoes get just the right amount of love and attention.

Unfortunately his crops have wilted in the rain this summer and his potatoes haven't lived up to expectations. I believe they call it Brewer's Droop...

in the absence of xabi stevie is the only one who can possibly get it on from cm. him, masher and benni/riera in midfield with torres and a new striker (silva?) is prob our best hope. then we pray some others step up from the bench.

Was it just me, or did anyone else simply love the way he played tonight. I don't mean efficiently I mean the way he seemed to press 'slow' on a magical remote control and just dance around people?

Every game he reminds me so much of Beardsley I'm having to rub my eyes. I know others, including Gerrard, had awesome games but we have to try Benny with Torres more often. Beardsley and Aldridge right there!

Benayoun and Babel are on different planets in terms of work rate, skill and compusure

all things that Rafa looks for in players, i cannot work out why he ever starts Babel when Benayoun is fighting tooth and nail to keep that first team spot.

benni is proving a great buy for us. i wish we could fit him into our team without having to start him a a left or right winger. give him the freedom of the pitch somehow without disrupting the gerard / torres partnership. everytime he touches the ball these last 6-8 months he has starred.

Rafa's done just that last night.
