Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. I agree with much of what is said in this thread. I think what set us appart from most teams last season was the ability of alonso and gerrad to play fast direct passes between them, and use the entire pitch with such passing. Gerrard and alsonso made the right movement and the right passes. The other teams could not keep up with the pace of our play. Lucas and Masch cant play with the same pace, range and directnes.
I know we are at the beginning of the season, but I dont see any player in the squad that can help Gerrard in keeping the pace and range of our play. Im worried! Right now it feels like much of our season depends on Aquliani.Comment
