Duff joins Fulham..should we have been in?

I've just seen that Damien duff has joined Fulham for approx £4m.

Was thinking that maybe we should have been in for him (current spculation about how much money we have to spend aside).

I think he would have been worth a punt at £4m, considering he is 30. Don't know if we'd have got his wages down from what he was on in Newcastle, but I'm sure he would have jumped at chance to join us.

Certainly a player with a lot still to give at the highest level, and one that loves running at, and getting by defenders.

We could then have push Kyut into the supporting striker role beside Torres, and push Gerrard back into midfield, and raiding, supplying additional ammunition to Kyut and Torres.

When you look at the abismal Babble on the left flank, Duff would have been a revelation.

He's been shot for about 3 years, old, no pace, hardly any goals. He's **** now.

We were priced out of the market with this one.

Duff of 4 years ago, abso*******lutely Bob

He's looked a shadow of the player he was though, and even then I think that one immense Blackburn season was a bit of a fluke
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

No. Babel is still better than Duff now and, as we know, Babel is dumb and ****.

Sad but true (if you belive todays reports)

We've not missed out on anything really he's not good enough anymore!
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Mate, we don't have 4million to spend. We shouldn't be looking in at Championship level players but the uni-bond league.

Aside from that, I would rather have signed the Damien Duff from 5 or 6 years ago. Today's one is a 'Duff' IMO.

                    No.
                    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
