Was GJ actually any good for West Ham, Chavs or Pompey?

He caught my eye early on at West Ham and looked a real prospect. The move to Chelsea probably came a bit too soon and a few bad performances seemed to knock his confidence.

It's fair to say that he has recovered it now mind. Gives us an option we haven't had in years. A full back who can attack down the flank and get to the bye-line, can go inside or outside, and generally picks out the right pass.

Showed great promise at Chelsea and was the first buy of Romans reign. Never lived up to the promise at Chelsea, was relegated to the bench and lost his confidence. Got a cut price move to Pompey and was a revelation. Bulked up physichally and his performances improved with it. Best RB in the premier league last year and his performances earned him a call up to the England Squad. Now an established first team player, though a shaky performance in his last game saw him come in form some stick. Earned a move to LFC who fought of competition from City and Chelsea who all matched are bid and offered higher wages.
