twas a very good performance from lucas, hope to see more of the same as the season goes on. he seems to have matured, and despite giving away a few silly fouls in the first half, he was impresive in the second, with his tackling and passing

          more of the same lad

So funny. Before the game Paul dickhead Merson was saying how Xabi was a bigger loss to us than Ronaldo was to Utd. And now he's saying Utd are nothing without Ronaldo. Looooooooooooooool

            We were so comfortable today

I always thought he was more entertaining once he'd had a drink or two. He's definitely missing something.

Lucas ran his socks off tonight, he looks fitter than ever. Great cross-field pass in the second half as well, nice to see him trying more inventive passes. Love it

Lucas was absolute quality today. Made himself available to every ball, passed it nicely, organized attacks, went forward, didn't take any **** when defending.

I've yet to see a more confident Lucas and long may it continue.

True but im just happy that went out there with real intent from the first second. We ran them ragged in the first half, first 10 mins were electric and thats what we wanted

We were not the worst team after a loss to Spurs, and we're not the best after a win against Stoke. Good timing with the first two goals, early and on the stroke of half time.

What is good to see is that Rafas idea to make the team more forward thinking is showing signs of working.

I haven't seen the game yet but is sounds like Lucas had a good game, I hope he did. My problem with him and Mascher was a lack of invention and creativity against Spurs, whose pressing game seemed to leave us short of ideas. The villa game will be interesting as I expect a tougher game from them.
