Actually that title summed up our whole last season. Hammered teams at times and were top scorers but that masked the fact that we struggled for goals in some games

True but this IS the type of game we really struggled with last year.

Not really. We struggled to perform in games last year and only played well in spells, most notably when our backs were against the wall. Good displays against the big teams and then a sensational run of performances from Sunderland on, slipping up only against Chelsea at home and sloppy defending against Arsenal.
I remember we were top early doors last year but everyone was left thinking how as we did not look like we were playing well, some put that down as a sign of champions. Others said we were lucky.
Against Tottenham reminded me of our early performances in which we managed to scrape wins last year, but without the result/luck. From the sounds of it the Stoke game was a throw back to our end of season form.

Lets hope so
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We never played as badly as we did at the Lane on sunday last season and still got the 3 points. I havent seen liverpool play that badly since away to Stoke at the start of the year and that was without Gerrard or Torres and even then I think we were prob better than we were Sunday. Sunday was a real shocker, I was disgusted coming away from it- even casued an argument with the family.
To be fair tho Spurs have got off to flyer but we all know it'll be all over for them by frickin' mid September, frickin' shandy drinkers .
Actually, I forgot to mention that all 5 goals have come from the right hand side too.
Probably because are best attacking players are right footed, such as Gerrard, Torres, Kuyt, Johnson, Yossi, Lucas. All will drift to the right if given the chance to do so.
