    Agger out for two months

Reports from Danish FA saying that Agger will be out for two months. Having back surgery next week.

They are hopeful he will be back for their games against Sweden and Hungary in October.

Sounds like he'll be back around same time as Aquilani - Chelsea game. I said it before, but if we can be within three points of the league leaders going into that game (even better, within three points after that game) then we'll be in a great position what with two important players returning into action.

FFS. I was hoping he would be fit in a couple of weeks. Will he ever be 100%?

Getting pissed off with Agger's constant injuries.

At least he's got his new lucurative deal everyone was slagging the club off for stalling on.

The Club were stalling cause Parry is a dick and the yanks are wanks. Or do you think they have a crystal ball and could tell Agger was going to have a back problem?

The club were right to stall seeing as he'd already had various inury issues in his time here, including a routine ankle problem that kept him out for almost a year. Yet everyone was clear they knew better than the club and the medical staff and wanted to give him a massive new deal.

But they did give him a new deal because they believed in him, or do you think the club bowed down to pressure from unknown people on internet forums?

He didn't choose to get injured and doesn't deserve the "At least he's got his new lucurative deal everyone was slagging the club off for stalling on" comments IMO.

Think what the poster is trying to say is, should they maybe not have given him time to prove he can actually stay fit before offering a long term deal on high wages? He's not done so well with fitness since he got here and it doesn't look to be getting any better.

Think I've finally given up on Dan. I'll just treat any appearances now as an unexpected bonus, rather than get my hopes up anticipating a steady run of games.

you sort of knew this was coming with the signing of the greek.

If it wasnt serious we could have coped with Ayala as back up, but 2months is a long time. I just hope this cures his problems.

Not surprised at all - back injuries aren't easy to recover from and need time.. hence my argument that we needed another CB (before we signed the greek what's-his-face) since we cannot totally rely on the kids and only have 2 experienced CBs.

Hope Danny takes it easy and gets a full recovery asap - hopefully it is only going to be two months... won't be surprised if it dragged on for longer though..

Sami sami, why did you have to leave?
