He lost a tooth. That alone can cost a few thousand to put right, as I know only too well.

I understand why people's sympathies are against him but I'm not sure it's really fair to slag him off like this.

    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I haven't followed it at all closely so I don't know whether he is a prick or not, but even if he is, it's totally irrelevant to the issue.

Anyway, Gerrard can afford it and I can't see any reason why it would play on his mind.

I completely agree with old Mr Young on this one.

Gerrard has admitted punching the guy (he was caught on CCTV no less).

If I was the victim, I'd persue the matter further for damages, no matter who the defendant is. As Neil, states, the level of proof required in a civil court is less than a criminal one.
              Oh I don't know.

Ah, Liverpool fans, a lovely bunch of people.

Explain to me why he is a prick?

****, if someone like Scholes and his mates attacked me unprovoked, i'd be wanting someone to pay for it?

If Gerrard attacked me in the same manner, I'd want the same. Allegence to a football club doesn't come into it.
                  Oh I don't know.

Did you see the plaster on his nose? The guy went looking to get media attention with false injuries because he thinks he can get a quid or two out of Gerrard. For this reason I believe he is a prick.

You also don't know it was unprovoked

Did Gerrard give you a good pasting as well, "in self defence"?

False injuries? He had a plaster on his nose and also a chipped tooth after getting ****ted, so whether you like it or not, he was hit.

He was hit first, by one of Gerrard's "mates" and was knocked off balance. He was then punched repeatedly by Gerrard, who thought the man was lurching towards him. These facts are not in dispute, never have been. Gerrard admits this version of events, CCTV backs it up. In fact, from what i can see of the tapes and the testimonies, the man never even through a punch.

No where in any testimonies or stories to come out in the press does it mention verbals, the whole argument stemmed from the man not giving into Gerrard's request. Again, this is not disputed by Gerrard.

So yes, i think he's entitled to some damages, be it he's a manc or not.

I don't dispute any of this but the press not mentioning verbals or it even being used in his defence in court doesn't mean it didn't happen. Either way, I would rather stand by our captain than some random Manc.

Simple question...if it was you who got attacked by 5 lads, would you just turn the other cheek and walk away? If you are, well done you. I wouldn't. I'd want the people who did it brought to justice, and then i'd want some sort of compensation, at least to cover my treatment costs.

Looks like you are changing your opinion.

Do you still think he is a ****?
