Is this the 65 minutes that Rafa uses for subs?

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

He's quite formulaic is Rafa, maybe its even a little superstition?

I'm sure there is, but i don't personally agree with it.

Sometimes it is a clear that a system or player is not working and a change is needed. Surely it's better to have 45 minutes of another effort than just 25.

I can think of only one time when we made changes before this minute (roughly, not exact) that were not enforced. You'd think after this Rafa would have been more forthcoming. Which game?

Put it this way the game was changed in our favour. See if anyone can guess the game I'm thinking off. I'll hazard a guess it wont take long after someone reads this post.
            Forwards.......

              Hmmm, lemme think

              Arsenal away

No, no Arsenal. But it was definitely away

              Yes, yes away. Far away

Arsenal. No Aston Villa. No Athletico Madrid. No thats not it

Begins with an A though definitely

              Few years ago now mind

Didi make a sub at half time or something?

              My memory these days, shocking

Wait, what do you mean about not enforced??
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Was it Fulham away, when we were 2-0 down at HT and Alonso came on for the second half? We won 4-2, with Baros, Alonso (deflection), Biscan (at the end) and an own goal? Josemi got sent off too, i think.

Ah, you know what I meant, but that's another one.

That's two positive results. Why doesn't he do it more often?

I've pulled out my hair plenty of times about this, and i still dont know why he doesnt do it more. I'd love a journalist (one of the decent ones which he slightly respects, not one of the WUM ones) to actually ask rafa this.

It's obviously a very deliberate thing he does.

I think he has explained why he does it before.

Something about this being the ideal time due to an opponent tiring, but still leaving plenty of time to change the game (in his mind).

But I still think that on occasion he should make changes earlier. When it is clear things are not working.

Fair enough, but why the need to be so regimental and completely inflexible about it? No 'system' or methodology is perfect.

He's a little too 'professor-like' with some of his scientific obsessions.

He is with that one, I'll agree there.
