    Whats going on with Riera?

    Is he on the move? Not making the team or even off the bench?

      I haven't seen the post myself, but apparently on another forum someone has said that he is being kept fit as he is to be used as part of a deal for Silva.... Probably bollocks though.

        Continuity is the key at the start of the season. As soon as the team settles down,I'm sure Rafa will start tinkering soon and bring in Riera to the first XI. I really hope he drops Lucas, puts Riera in the hole with Riera on the left.

          well he didn't play because benni rightfully got his chance. but why he didn't come on as sub is another matter. I like him and think he adds great balance to the team. Get him in and drop Kuyt for Benni. Or play Kuyt up top with Torres. I think Johnsons pace and flair will make Kuyt look even further off the pace this season. In europe & internationally Kuyt is great, slower game.

                He's not fully fit. Benayoun is starting on merit. Babel has had the nod over him on the bench as the only times babel has looked decent is when he has been introduced as an "impact" substitute.

                  Sounds a little like Benayoun to me (apart from the Stoke game)
