    A parking space for life...

It's funny - and not funny - at the same time

Liverpool FC has recently acquired some additional car parking locations for matchday parking which are available on a temporary basis. Supporters should note the sites will only be available until building work commences on the New LFC stadium in Stanley Park. At this point, we will no longer be able to offer any parking at these sites and a pro rata refund will be issued on any unused portions of permits purchased.

Car park permits will be available for all home Barclays Premier League, FA Cup, Carling Cup and Champions League fixtures
Another 96.000 reasons to honour Rafa

I just hope someone has a cunning plan

That's it though isn't it, its beans to the club but goes to further show that the stadium isn't going to be started anytime soon. i.e. proof that it isn't going to start until summer 2010 at the earliest.

Did you expect anything different though?

                true, very true

at least their statement that they will give a prorata refund once work starts suggests that work might start in the future... not neccessarily foreseeable future mind, not sure it will be Summer 2010, that might be optimistic. As you can see my expectations are really low... I was thinking the other day I hope Stevie G gets to play at least a game in our new home, pretty sure Carra won't at this point unless he becomes our Maldini or Costacurta..

One thing though, I get the feeling that the club knows we need the new stadium, and it's still within the plans and the club is NOT seeking alternatives - like a different (possibly cheaper) location or groundshare, etc.
