I think by January he'll be settled in the team and at full fitness. If we are still within 6 points I genuinely feel we will have a real crack at winning the title - injuries permitting of course.

I said the same after the horror start we had, and with Man Utd and Chelsea out the way for a while we are still only 6 points away, the same as it was after the opening two defeats in three.

Take into account all the injuries we've had and I think we've just about got away with some of our pathetic performances. Just a win in Lyon needed to really get the show on the road.

I think he could make that, but after coming back from 7 months out maybe it would be better to ease him in with a few substitute appearances first.

I think it all depends on if he's on the bench for the Fulham game, and how he comes through the Man U game tonight if he features.

Well Alonso's settled back to his 'old form' at Real Madrid, which was average. At least we got one good season out of him. Onwards and upwards. Aquilani already looks much better at 60%, can't wait for the rest. Let's hope he's eased in, will need him for years to come.
