having said that, my wife was invited to the royal school of ballet when she was 12 years old, her mother said no, she is now serving fries at mcdonalds ( not really she works for social services but still dreams).Originally posted by Craig_H View PostAny parent letting their SIX YEAR OLD child into that kind of scenario, is a twit.

of course you're wrong.....as much as we all hate the scum, you have to admire them - they are, like us, one of the traditional super powers in world football - if the lad is any good - they will bring it out of him.Originally posted by joyno View Posthaving said that, my wife was invited to the royal school of ballet when she was 12 years old, her mother said no, she is now serving fries at mcdonalds ( not really she works for social services but still dreams).
Are you seriously telling me that you would hinder your kid in realising his goal as a premiership player?
Before you reply calling me a manc..........don't - i despise the *******s as much as the next liverpool man.

yes i know but we are talking about parents choices and the bias they have when it comes to there childrens future, like i say no way would i have let my son if i had one play for man utd, but it would have been on a totally selfish point of view, for example my dad pulled me out of boxing because i was ****e at it. now thats not being selfish that was clever.Originally posted by Craig_H View Post12 and 6 are somewhat different.

i think you are spot on mate in your analysis and there is something sadly lacking in my decision and it would be my loss, a selfish point of view as a parent but i wouldn't change it im afraid. ( thank fuk i have daughters).Originally posted by Molby View Postof course you're wrong.....as much as we all hate the scum, you have to admire them - they are, like us, one of the traditional super powers in world football - if the lad is any good - they will bring it out of him.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

maybe i am a naive die hard and a selfish parent but i am convinced i would never let it happen and my wife agrees but its easy for me because the scenario has not and is never likely to arise.Originally posted by -V- View PostI would def let him go on trial. At 6 years old he is hardly agreeing to join them for life. If it helps his development then great and when he's a teenager you can tell Liverpool to have a look at him and im sure they would if he was with the Mancs.
