Heskey hardly ever gets himself into a goal scoring position to miss a chance. It's a shame really, because if he had a pair of balls and a bit of confidence, he would be absolutely terrifying.

I think that's the attitude that saw us draw so many home games last season.

I don't think we can afford to underestimate teams given what's gone before. Too many times last season we put out a weakened team assuming it would be enough, only to end up throwing on the superstars at the end to try and rescue the game.

We have to put out the best team we have available, hope they get the game wrapped up early, and then give chances to youngsters and/or underperformers.

          Carra
          Skrtel
          Insua

          Lucas
          Gerrard

          Riera
          Kuyt

          Benayoun

          Torres

Subs: Cavalieri, Kyrgiakos, Aurelio, Babel, Voronin, Spearing, Ngog
would prefer to see spearing or Aurelio instead of lucas

            Like when?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

We had too many draws at home last season no doubt but I don't think it was down to giving youngsters a chance.

but the best team imo would be dropping lucas only due to his excess travelling

If you had insua in your dream team would you drop him?

do we think Aurelio will get the LB spot back?

Thank **** the poxy internationals are out of the way. Feels like an eternity since we last played.

I think we're gonna roll them over and stick four past them

Is Aurelio injured? Sure I read somewhere that he is.

He played Thursday night mate but I would guess this match has come round a bit too soon for the boy.
