Full time, 4 - 0, really decent performance overall, could have been more if their keeper hadn't done quite well and Voronin hadn't been overdoing everything so much in the last 5 mins but really that'll do.
Benayoun and Kuyt were excellent, Gerrard had a good game and really deserved a goal. Lucas looks much more assured in the Mascher role then he does alongside him, and Insua once again really offered something down the left. Happy days.

Voronin's link play was really good - finishing not so much.
Kuyt and Benayoun were excellent.
Gerrard looked back on form. Not a lot learned about whether he can play in a deeper role as for most of the match he played in the final third anyway.

It was in parts, some really nice touches but also I thought he could have been more direct on several occasions, looked like he really didn't want to have a shot himself at any point even with space in front of him as the furthermost player.

"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."
I flicked it over after the Liverpool game and noted that they got five minutes added time.

Our problem was playing weaker sides, often promoted sides, and being unable to break them down. I know Burnley didn't 'park the bus' today but you could argue the minor surgery Rafa has given this team is working. Although we've lost a couple of times, we've now put four past Stoke - who we couldn't even score against last year, never mind beat - and four past Burnley when it should've been 10.
We've scored 9 at home already, top scorers at home, and should put Debrecen to the sword in midweek. Another hatful please, and we'll be flying. Win at West Ham, destroy Hull....we're in the race.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Agree with you. I think he does well whenever he comes on. Good option on the bench to have. We seem to get a bit complacent in front of goal when we are winning dont we ? a extra touch to many, or trying clever little finishes. I hope they just bang it in the net like Defoe does.

he seemed to lack the confidence to shoot..........just thinking, wouldn't Defoe look the part in a red jersey with 7 on the back of it? hmm.......
