    Ownership Poll

Apologies for yet another thread on this, but I want to guage numbers favouring the current owners of the club, versus favouring the previous regime.

Most of us agree, that the current situation is less than perfect, and that the previous situation wasn't exactly fantastic either. But this is not about having a wish-list of fictional fairy-godfather owners who would wave their magic wads of money around. The question is simple:

Is Liverpool Football Club in a better position now under the current owners, than it would have been under the previous regime?
    81
We would have been in a better situation under Moores and Parry

We are in a better situation under the current owners

Ambivalent, we're just as screwed but in a different way

    Oh I don't know.

I have voted for the current owners, as I think we'd have been struggling for the top 4 last season under Moores. I'm not at all sure we would have the likes of Torres, Mascherano, Johnson and the like. I'm more sure we'd have the next tier of footballer, such as Bellamy and Pennant (being generous to Pennant there).
          Oh I don't know.

I've voted for the current owners purely because Parry and Moores are to blame for everything - letting us slip massively commercially, not doing anything with the stadium earlier and generally letting us become a sleeping giant while they sat in their seats with ****e ties, worse haircuts and smug grins.

Worst of all they sold to the Yanks, I don't blame G&H for doing what they did, I don't blame them for the debt as it's how they operate in business and surely the track record was there for P&M to see before 'handing over the family silver'.

Parry and Moores take it right up the ass dry for this one.

I really don't want to choose either option. Can we have a (c) Ambivalent, we're just as screwed but in a different way?
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.

Not really. I wanted look at this from a different perspective. i.e. irrespective of the promises made / broken, and other scandals, has there actually been an improvement on what we had?

MrM, feel free to add the 'I don't know option'.

They should have that on general elections too.

I just don't think its possible to boil it down like that really easily. Some things can improve while some things get worse, net difference is so-so. Under Moores and Parry I had more confidence that the club was being run by people who cared about it, just weren't always up to the job. Now its being run by people who don't, but are doing it better in some areas, and worse in others. End result - out of the frying pan into the fire.

And they do. Its called voting Lib Dem

So, by popular demand, I've added that option to the poll

I think Moores is well known for having limited business sense and simply surrounded himself with the wrong people. If he'd have had the business sense of the current regime we'd have never been in the situation we now find ourselves.

But as he was clueless I think it is clear that had we stayed with him we would have never progressed. At least with the current regime we may eventually get to where we want to be, all be it at a much slower rate than we would have wished for.

However I would say the best option would be for Moores to have kept hold of the club and done some digging on Hicks, who by all accounts teamed up with Gillet right at the last minute. After waiting so long to find the right owners there was no need to rush through a deal at the last minute. I really hope the decision still haunts him every day.
                              Forwards.......
