Interesting Spearing is on the bench. Wonder if Rafa want's to keep him fresh in case he's required against West Ham.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Danny Welbeck, Kiko Macheda and Zoran Tosic have been selected in a strong Reserves squad to face Liverpool this evening.

The Reds travel to Warrington's Halliwell Jones Stadium with the aim of registering a third straight league victory of the season, an intent born out by the strength of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Warren Joyce's side.

Welbeck and Macheda are joined by Josh King in attack, while Magnus Eikrem and Corry Evans should make up a midfield three with Tosic.

Ron-Robert Zieler returns in goal, behind a back-line of David Gray, James Chester, Ritchie de Laet and Joe Dudgeon. The substitutes' bench will be filled by Oliver Gill, Ben Amos, Oliver Norwood, Ryan Tunnicliffe and Robert Brady.

Aye...no Bruna either who's been doing okay lately.

Thought Darby had gone to Swansea?

He's in the champs league squad.
Maybe Rafa needed to keep him for his HG quota?

Aye but the 'news' about his Swansea move emerged after the CL squad was announced. I could've sworn it was reported as fact but it was obviously just talk.

The crowd looks pants. When these games were at Warrington they'd get about 10,000...maybe more.

Was about to say similar. Plus it doesn't look right playing in a stadium with blue seats

Plessis sent off. A bit harsh perhaps.

He was pissed off because the referee ignored what looked like a two footed tackle on him, and he decided to take matters into his own hands somewhat. Both players went for a ball about waist height but he led with his studs.

Very impressed with Amoo and Ecclestone. Honestly can see these boys making an impact in the first team squad, and Rafa (watching the game tonight) must surely be very satisfied with the way things are shaping up at reserve level.
