    Torres - just amazing

55 goals in 91 games for us now (according to Wiki).

Just checked his stats out and my word, look at his goalscoring record since he's joined us. Does anyone know what his goals-to-minute ratio is?

Absolutely ****ing incredible. So lucky to have the lad playing for us.

24 league goals in his first season, 14 in the PL last season although he barely played, and so far, he has scored 5 in 6 in the league for us in 09-10, and he's not even at his best yet. Amazing. ****ing amazing.

He's incredible, he really is. I know he's had a bit of stick for the past few games, but THAT today was the real, firing on all cylinders Fernanado Torres and long may he stay in that form. That first goal was something else

Lets do the maths on this, it's not my strongest subject so if there is anyone more qualified then I'll bow to your superior knowledge. 91 x 90 = 8190 minutes of play for us. 8190/55 = 149. Therefore he is banging them in every 149 minutes, or one every other game in and around the hour mark .......... umm I think. Like I said correct me if I'm wrong. Hope that makes sense.

Sometimes its not just the goal but the importance of the goal. Both goals yesterday got us out of a lot of trouble and were very significant in getting us a result.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

That would be right except for the fact he has been substituted in a number of games which brings the ratio down.

To think some on here wanted him 'rested' for the West Ham
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I was working with the figures I had so if that's my only mistake then I'll give myself a pass.

It would be interesting to see how many games he has played from start to finish. I think the answer would be "not many". I think yesterday he was subbed in minute 91 of + 3 minute extended time. I reckon there's quite a few games where he has taken off on the hour mark.

For a player going through a rough patch he's not doing too bad. What is it 5 goals currently? Long may go through this form.

Yeah, i was one of the ones who suggested a rest for Nando, all is easy in hindsight !!

I was only thinking of the long term here..........i only want what everybody on here wants......................No 19

(nearly bust my keyboard typing 19 there !!)

I still believe we need to nurse Nando through this early part of the season - if his hamstring goes, let's face it - we are ****ed. But, point taken 5 goals so far, for a man who hasn't hit 3rd gear, never mind top gear yet, that's pretty amazing.

                It's why we love him

                YNWA Nando - Respect.

                DALGLISH !! :respect

Fortunately it's not. He was brilliant yesterday, but there is much more to come.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Umm. Torres doesn't play every every minute of every game, does he?!
