346 is a sick, sick amount. Doubt it'll ever be beaten to be honest - someone would have to average 35 goals a season for ten seasons. UnrealOriginally posted by jono View PostNah definitely not, maths is my weakest subject, and as has been shown I wasn't exactly correct with my sums.
Is it too early to discuss Torres beating Rush's record of 346?

He may look like your awkward freckly teenage nephew (or maybe even niece) but Fernando Torres is arguably the most graceful goalscorer around these days. There’s something about the way he moves with the ball in the box that makes it look inevitable.
Torres claimed a hat-trick today, as Liverpool demolished Hull 6-1 at Anfield. It wasn’t one of those scrub hat-tricks either, with a penalty and two late tap-ins with the game already over. Torres scored Liverpool’s first three, and all in very similar fashion. Three times El Niño received the ball in the box, pulled a couple of moves and then calmly found the back of the net.

A wonderful footballer! I love him
He has it all though, he is a superstar and the top striker now in world football. His form since signing for us has been just incredible – Would be interesting to add his games/goals for spain in that time to it as well.
When he signed I wouldn’t say I was disappointed – more nervy as for us it was a huge gamble, and whilst he looked good he wasn’t exactly prolific at Atl Madrid – but **** me no one could have expected him to have been so good from the word go. No foreign player has adapted to the premier league so quick.
What makes him so good is that, for a striker he is more or less the complete package (don’t get me wrong, there is areas for improvement, as there always should be when striding to be the best) – but he can score any goal and that is why he has scored so many
In his time here, we have seen score – right/left footed screamers, cool casual passing it past the keeper like it's a game of 5 a side, attacking brave headers, glancing flicked headers, skinned 3 men and slot it home, take the piss out keepers, score tap ins and 30 yarders. It’s all there, he is strong, brave, commited, skilful and ****ing quick – the fact he is a good looking guy and Christ on toast he has it all!i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

You'd be very naive to believe that. Things change and a few seasons without silverware could very easily make him rethink his next career move, regardless of all the lovely lovely comments that he gives in interviews which people seem to cream themselves over. I bet he said the same things about atletico madrid and the fans thought he'd never leave them. Loyalty is becoming extinct.Originally posted by liverpooltj View PostThe guy is fantastic and is red through and through. No danger of his head being turned by Real or Barca. Unlike some players at our club or were at our club.
There's also the small matter of the club's finances which may well dictate whether he stays or goes.

Yeah they just haven't updated it yet.Originally posted by Elvis View PostBy my reckoning he has scored 8 goals this season, all in the prem league. So why does the BBC have Rooney as top prem league scorer?? It's a conspiracy I tells ya!

They're never slow to update it when Rooney's scored FFS!

"People will say Torres was the difference between the two sides but I thought we gifted them the goals." Phil Brown.
Cheeky t*t, Torres ran them ragged.
"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."
I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."
