Who cares about the Carling Cup??

Me, and probably the 5k of our supporters who are going on Tuesday and the 35k Leeds supporters. I've had some of the best days/nights of my life in this competition.

4th priority? Definitely. Worthless? Not a ****ing chance, I would love to win this.

That is the team I would expect to see.

I'd also like to see Darby get a game, and the CL contingent get a place on the bench, Kelly, Amoo and Ecclestone. Pacheco also on the bench.

Rubbish competition these days, but a final is a great day out and we've gone too long without a trophy.

The longer we go on the better it is for the younger members of the squad and helps bridge the chasm between the first XI and the reserves.

Yeah I agree about seeing the kids on the bench. Hopefully we can stick two or three past Leeds with our starting lineup and then bring the kids on for the last 20 minutes.

Been injured, and is being pushed into different positions so Degen can play games in the reserves.

I want to go to the new wembley, so i'd like us to win this.

However, nobody who's remotely important to our season should play at Leeds, who will be looking to kick lumps out of us.

Iv got tickets to the match but i'l be sat in the Leeds end. Im going with my family who are all Leeds fans.

I hope we play our 1st team, as i havn't been to a match since 2006.

But our other players need games. And if we do hit an injury crisis match fitness and the confidence and experience of the rest of your squad can be very crucial.

I have looked at our second XI and it is a very strong team, more than enough for Leeds. Our squad can look weak at times, but if we play them mid week and they perform all of a sudden it looks a lot better.

I am interested to see if Fabio can perform in CM or if Pompey was a one off. Can Degen and Dossena step in and do a job this season, or have they not improved over the summer? Is Jay Spearing as good as many have made him out to be or is he a player lauded because he is a scouser? Can N'Gog follow an impressive reserves performance with a good display against Leeds.

Can Babel start games and has he listened to what Rafa has told him. Can Cavalieri act as deputy to Reina? These games can tell us so much more than what training and reserve games do. A full house at Elland Road and it will have the feel of a premiership game.

We have a lot of games over the coming weeks and this is a much needed rest for the players. There is no point what so ever in starting the big guns. Had it been the FA cup I would have slightly different views, but even then I would trust us to select a heavily diluted XI against a team, that despite their famous history and reputation, is a side that failed to win promotion last year and is very much a league one club.

It might be too soon for Agger, in which case I think I'd play Skrtel. Carra could use a break. I think Pacheco looked really good in CM in preseason and playing him in the centre with the two brasilians I think he could provide some good link up play. I would really prefer to see Darby and Buchtman, but I know that wont happen.

Like to see Babel play 90mins and start on the right, on his last two sub apps he's looked a different player, maybe the penny has finally dropped.

He looks to have improved so much that I can even see him as man of the match

I wouldn't play Lucas, because at the moment he's first choice, probably best to rest him for the weekend IMO.

I'd prefer to see Darby than Degen, but as you say it's unlikely, I think it's too soon for Buchtman
