    Gary Lineker on MotD

Sorry if already posted but, what on earth did Lineker mean by the comment 'I hope it's safe there' after Torres mentioned the match ball would be kept at home.

Needs a word to the BBC imo, as it seems he was insinuating that Torres's home would be the target of thieves

Can't really complain when half of the Liverpool and Everton players have been burgled.

You could say it is a tad thoughtless considering it has only just happened to Jagielka but that's all really.

About a million footballers in the NW have been targetted by burglars in the last few years, don't see the problem with the reference - nothing sinister in it.

Agreed on the whole but he never said it after the ****ing United game did he? Enough of the burglaries have taken place in 'United territory' (Bowden, Hale, Knutsford etc) yet still it's Merseyside on the end of the bad press and the jibes.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

don't forget some of the london based players have been robbed too,so there was no need for the comment.
                  who's arsed?

I think he said it in sincerity and also as a swipe at these burglars who target footballers homes.

I don't see anything wrong with that.

He's a bit of a joker at the end of the day it's just the way he is. He does have a point though, its getting a bit ridiculous all these players getting robbed really feel sorry for them. It must be quite intimidating for them.

I thought Jocky's ongoing gag with the ball not being kept after a hat trick in various countries was quite amusing.

Can we remind any geographically challenged Mancs, that Jagielka actually lives in Knutsford and not Liverpool.

Work mates are trying to have a field day with this.
