bit nervy following tuesdays er efforts ha. Hopefully that gives everyone a bit of kick up the arse and we come out fighting - otherwise if we come out still licking our wounds we will be turned over

We need MAscher fit and ready to put in a full 90 min shift.

Not sure if Agger is ready yet but something needs to be done at the back

    I'd be tempted to

    ------------reina-----------------

    Johnson-----carra----skrtel--------aurelio

    ----------Mascher-----Gerrard------

    Kuyt------------Yossi-------------Riera

    ----------------Torres------------

I'd like that too. But I think Lucas will do well against Chelsea, he generally does against the big teams where we have to battle for space in midfield. It's when we have four banks of four in front of us that a pairing of Lucas and Mascherano struggle.

Did I say 'all out attack'?

You really just argue for the sake of it, don’t you? How many times have you moaned about us not taking enough chances, not needing 2 DM’s, going for a win instead of a draw, etc…

Now as Marky has mentioned, we have a team that suits attacking and is struggling at the back, and you make it sound like it’s the most preposterous idea ever to go on the attack.

We sat back deep against Fiorentina in the first half, our full backs didn't play with the same freedom as the usually have. If we deploy similar tactics against Chelsea, I can see us getting torn apart.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Is Drogba 100% fit? I hate that big lump of a cunt playing against us.

i would go for that, but would bring agger back, we need to keep the ball and even if he does an hour shift it could be vital.

that team has all the quality and people who can keep the ball well and not give it away cheaply.

In fact would love to see that team

I don't think they were are tactics, we just never got going. Fiorintina did what Spurs did to us, pressed us for the entire first half, getting a lead, and then sat back for the second half as they were knackered. Just like Spurs we were unable to make the most of our chances and got beat.

No you didnt say all out attack, but I WAS REPLYING TO MARKY'S POST initially, where he said 'attack attack attack' - and you replied to, and argued with, my reply of MARKY'S post. Understand now?

I've moaned about being too defensive at home to the likes of Stoke. Where in ****'s name have i moaned about being solid away to chelsea?

I didn’t bother watching the match again for obvious reasons, but I did think their starting positions was a lot deeper than usual. Most games it’s pretty obvious which one of them are instructed to get forward as much as possible, almost play as a midfielder (as Insua was against Hull), but it didn’t seem to happen in this game.

Calm down dear. Sorry I didn't realise it was a private conversation, but if you thought my reply was argumentative, then I sure do apologise.

Think I'll just exit the thread and go for some lunch, in case I provoke some more 'arguments'.

I, of all people, do not have a problem with arguments, but you misread where i was coming from - marky's 'attack' mantra was what i disagreed with and what my post was about, so when you were wondering why i was targetting the 'attack' point, it was because marky had originally made it.

I know YOU didnt say 'attack attack attack', but marky DID and that was what i was actually disputing.

Be honest, you've both seen Fredo leave and think the forum will miss the Neil Young v Fredo battles.

Hence, the new bickering of RedReet v Craig H!
