    Bellamy

just watching him at the minute for city against villa, and just wondering whether we maybe should have kept him, his commitment and passion and undoubted playing skills make me think we got rid of him a bit early.

For whatever reason it didn't work out but it's pretty frustrating watching him at the moment. He hardly ever showed this sort of form for us, if at all. His goal return was abysmal. Six league goals? Maybe Rafa placed too many shackles on him, maybe we never used him properly...not sure. To be fair I always felt he was a level below top class but he's proving me wrong at the minute.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

We signed Torres the same summer so if it was balancing the books its a complete no contest really. Wouldnt be a bad option to have though agreed.

imo now that he plays for another team it is natural that you may only notice him when he is doing well. You (me) inevitably miss the periods when he does sod all. Having said that, he's clearly a guy with talent, he just has a strange attitude - the reason I believe we sold him. As he matures (or grows up if you prefer) I've no doubt he will become a better player. As for us, well I think we're well rid. He's just not professional enough - maybe one day...
        Really?

he did have the odd good game for us and he has always been a streaky striker, looked fantastic tonight though

He's definitely good in bursts rather than a whole season. They were saying on one of the football podcasts that he enjoys the challenge of competition, which he's obviously getting at City at the moment. He does seem to enjoy the challenge of playing against/competing against top players, which makes you think it'd be good to have him around still

That said, he's playing on the left at the moment isn't he? He never really got the space he needs for us, and he played in the middle mostly so was reduced to running the channels a lot (which he did pretty well admittedly) so didn't get the goals. Same old thing though..not good enough to oust Torres and we don't play 4-4-2

Bellamy is as good as any other striker in the Premiership right now. He's got ability and guts in abundance, I love his spirit and attitude when his head is right. I think he needed a manager who could understand and deal with his demons and Mark Hughes appears to be that man.

Not professional?! He's one of the most dedicated players in the Premier League.

i would agree he is one of the most dedicated and certainly one of the the most passionate, but a true professional would not conduct themselves like he does off the pitch.

I think something has clicked in him this season, and for once things are going his way - the litmus test will be when Robiniho is fir

                        Definitely not.

Has he ever scored mor than 15 league goals in a season?

A damining statistic in last nights commentary. That was his 99th league goal. How old is? That says it all.
                        Oh I don't know.

He's one of the biggest pricks in football. Thank **** he's not here anymore - the words "inconsistent" and "tosser" were invented simply so that people would be able to describe craig bellamy.

Reckon he's do well for us on the left, altho we'd lack width & insua lack protection.
                              3rd place. Worst champions ever.
