Whether I rate him or not Hughes seems to get the best out of Bellamy.

I think he's a brilliant footballer and still gutted it didn't work out for him at LFC.
His pace will always make him a threat but he's also an intilligent player with great movement, touch and skill. Versatile too as we've seen this season.
Think he gets a bit too much stick tbh, he's not all that bad. Just takes no **** and does all he can to win.
We could have done with someone with his attitude and fire against Fiorenta and Chelsea.

I'd rather have him in our squad than Citehs. But we have to balance the books and out went Bellamy and in came Torres. If we had bottomless pits of money he would have been a nice option to have, as would quite a few players we've let go.

He has played his best football under Mark Hughes and he is a good player. For that Hughes must be given the credit. As torres came in, and it seems we only wanted one, i see it as an upgrade.

Jermaine, you know the song Billie Jean...is it about the tennis player??

He played very well for Hughes in the Welsh set up so I'm not suprised. It obviously works for him with Hughes.

Very good player. I was so happy we signed him. But he's the type of player that needs to play week in week out. He'd never get that at Liverpool hence the reason why he's gone.

I thought before he signed that he had an outside possibility of being a real player for us. He was great for a season or two an Newcastle, single handedly extended Shearer's career in the process.

However he never looked at all like rising to the necessary level for us, a bit like Keane he's far better as a big fish in a medium sized pond than a smaller one in a massive pond. Plus, well, he had to go after the whole golf club thing, especially given his prior track record. I thought Rafa dealt with that perfectly, using him for the rest of the season then just moving him on.
