They are all under orders from Rafa to fake injuries during training sessions as not to play. Well played Rafa.

Do you suppose they get coached by the physio's too?? Sort of "if he presses here, gasp or wince...if he presses there say it's fine...??"

No way Fernando would fake any injury on international duty. He loves his country and playing for them too much to do that. I wish the England boys had the same attitude.

              .

Torres has had some problems in his adductor muscle over the past week but still played 53 minutes of Spain's victory over Armenia on Saturday. There was a suggestion that Del Bosque could opt not to take the forward to Bosnia after allowing Carles Puyol, Carlos Marchena, Xavi, Dani Guiza and Cesc Fabregas to pull out the squad.

"Torres is in very good hands here," Del Bosque told AS. "Sunday he stayed at the hotel and did not train because we went to a pitch in which there was no stretcher."

He added: "He stayed at the hotel with the physios.

"(Liverpool manager) Rafa Benitez has called me and I reassured him. We will care very much for Torres, like the rest.

"I told him (Benitez) that we will treat Torres as if he was at Liverpool.

"If the boy is well and wants to play, he will play against Bosnia. And if he has any problem, he will not play.

              "It's that simple."

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres will not pull out of the Spain squad to face Bosnia-Herzegovina in the team's final World Cup qualifying match in midweek.

That is the verdict of the Spanish football federation after Torres, who has had abductor muscle problems, underwent a medical check on Monday.

A www.rfef.es statement read: "He has improved thanks to the physiotherapy carried out by the medical staff."

If getting injured pretty much every time he goes away with them is "very good hands" I'd hate to see his version of very bad hands!
