Lost 6 out of 76 games

There's an interesting quote right at the bottom of Carra's interview on the official where he says -

"Points are what matter and how many you end up with at the end of the season. We've lost six games in our previous two Premier League seasons.

"To lose that many in 76 games - that's some achievement and yet we still haven't won the league. Man United have lost more than us and won the league for the past two years.

"So as far as we are concerned it's now all about getting points on the board."

It's clear from that last line that there has/will be a change in the attitude of the players and Rafa to go all out and win games even at the risk of losing a few. I don't mean away to Chelsea or Man U etc... but the majority of the other fixtures.

I think we dropped 28 points last year (11 draws and 2 defeats??) which means if we end up drawing 5 games throughout the season we can still afford to lose 6 games to finish with the same points total which will have us there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

    Keep the faith.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Tall order going 30 games with only 3 losses.

            good and positive thinking.

But as Gerrard and Torres claimed : This year is all about trophies not personal and club statistics!!

I don't know....1 defeat every 10 is well within our capabilities. In fact 6 in 76 is about the same average.

Going by the figures given, we'd need to win 22 out of those 30, with 5 draws.

With Man Utd x2, Arsenal x2, City x2, Villa away, Everton x2, Chelsea home, Sunderland away and Stoke away all to come - it's a tall order.

Not saying we cant do it, but we've put ourselves under real pressure.

I personally dont think we can afford to lose another league game this calendar year. Or even draw more than a couple.

That's the most important bit, not interested in any other statistics, don't care what kind of spin others may put on it.

Oh yeah we've given ourselves a mountain (well, a hill ) to climb...no doubt. We've put ourselves under too much pressure for this early stage of the season.

True, true, true! Lets be honest here lads, we're ****ed. Already we're relying on our rivals slipping up and shouldn't be the case so early on.

                          6 in is amazing
3 in 8 is mid table form

Surely if we lost 3 in 70 odd and didnt win the league we strive to be better not worse !!!

The only slight saving grace is that scum didnt do to well in the top 4 league last year and still won the league,

we have showed this year that we have learned from last year of dropping silly points going unbeaten till the end of the year is needed, the next 2 games will tell us all we need to know

                          Sunderland away
                          Scum Home

Win them and we would be in a decent enough position, point behind scum and think chelsea have a couple of tough games in the not to distant future
