Any truth to the rumours (i think it was the Telegraph) that Gerrard was given the option of returning to Liverpool on Sunday, but opted to stay and train, and that Rafa is furious not with England, but with Gerrard himself?

I wonder if he has been 'playing through' this groin injury? Hasn't he been a bit iffy with it a couple times this season? Would certainly explain his **** form.
