They've just shown a slow-mo replay, and the ball was going straight to Reina, hit the balloon and veered off at 45 degrees...wtf is that about????

I've not seen it but radio are claiming ball was going to Reina until the ballon (or maybe a beach ball) deflected it away from him

Yeah it was a beach ball type thing.Far heavier then a balloon.

Caused a major deflection.

We're looking ok, can't believe such a fluke goal. Bent and Jones are a very good front pair though.

Does anyone know when it came on to the pitch, usually the players pop them if they are on the pitch at the start of the match.

I thought the referee should have a responsibility to ensure the pitch is clear of "foreign objects" before kick off.

Absolutely farcical....we're having very little luck so far this year!

Initially thought it had deflected off Johnson (my stream aint great). Seemed to be heading straight to Reina initially.

We've settled down a bit now though....well get back in this for sure.

Yeah but knowing the standard of refereeing in the Premiership there could actually be a rule but the officials don't actually know it (possibly on account of it now happening that often).

I was only wondering, not that it would make any difference as, you quite rightly point out the goal stands and we find ourselves losing once again after a team above us has already lost.

Obviously not just out of curiousity what did the referee consult the linesman about?

Yep....quite a few long range attempts and Babel had one goal bound attempt cleared/blocked after he'd beaten the keeper.
