    Rafa should be sacked....

If F6 take over. I don't thinks theres any other way forward. If the club is given the money to spend, we need a manager who knows what its like to handle big money. Rafa has taken us as far as he can.

If he's sacked, i'll pay my respects to him but he's not a world class manager and sunderland proved that. A world class could motivate a usless bunch of squad players like we have. I'll happly go without winning the title this year and next year if we have are squad and management completly revamped.

    What we need to do:

    1) Get an owner who fulufils their promises.
2)Sack Rafa- replace him with a world class manager e.g. Hiddink, Mourinho
3)Rebuild Squad- Kuyt, Bennie, Riera, Skrtel are good squad players. Nothing else. the only players i'd keep in our first team are Gerrard, Torres, Reina, Agger(maybe), Johnson, Macherano, Aquillini (maybe).
    4) Win the league and restore our status as the best club in europe.

Sack rafa and we risk losing Torres, Masch etc. Plus it'd take a new boss several seasons to gather his squad together.

If we're out of europe next season, then he has to go. If we get into the top 4 then he has to stay, simple as that. Its all about the money and in that sense he over achieved last season.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

His position has to be assessed at the end of the season, if its another baron year and we are miles of winning the league (even if we get 4th) then he has to go.
          We come not to play.

The day we get a manager who can teach the team how to take bloody set pieces and defend against them, and also NOT pass the ball back to the goalkeeper every 5 minutes, I'll be a happy man.

If we get new owners then another season with a a healthy transfer budget may be the best solution.

However, another season without a trophy and poor league showing might be the last straw for a lot of fans.

Unless we get a crazy injection of cash to spend on players sacking the manager is not an option (Personally I don't think we should sack him). Sacking the manager with our current buget constraints means another 5 year plan, dismanteling the squad bit by bit and slowly rebuilding it again, not to mention the huge pay offs we'd have to make to players and staff before finding a new manager.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

yes but remeber when Houllier kept saying 'We have turned the corner' yet kept losing every few games.....unless Rafa and the team sort this out now then we will get into a rut of losing.....i sincerely hope rafa stays and can bring more success to the club........

After the Chelsea game the consensus was that we had played as well as them, but just didn't get the rub of the green or converted our chances.

Cue one week: 3 of our most influential players are out, Torres, Gerrard and Mascher. We lose to a freak goal, albeit deservedly so, and now Rafa should go?
Not yet. We have gradually improved in the league under Rafa. Let's see how the season pans out before pushing him off the cliff.

One of the things I will hold against Rafa is replacing our player of the season with someone who is injured for a 3rd of our next season, probably over-estimating Lucas in the process. Another is changing formation when the team is off form. Not a good idea. We need stability when we are struggling.

New owners would be nice, yes. New owners who don't pull the rug away from under the manager during the summer and. Do you think Rafa would have spent 17 mill on a full back if he knew had to balance the budget? I cannot know, but I doubt it.

And those who moan about set pieces, did you know that before last nights game we had scored 5 goals from corners, more than any other team in the PL?
Food for thought, check some facts instead of just wheeling out established misconceptions.

We can't affort to sack him anyway. The payoff for him and his staff would be huge

In any case the only man I'd want as his replacement,Guus Hiddink, is unavailable until after the world cup so sacking him now would be madness.
