Well, he was right about one thing, and thats 2 losses and the season is pretty much fecked

Insua? (okay he was even less than £3m)
        Kuyt?
        Alonso?

        Bollocks Hansen, absolute bollocks.
Also if we're talking about all the signings Rafa has made (including the ones that have now left) you could add Luis Garcia, Crouch and Sissoko to the list too
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Not enough guile or invention in the final third - something we have desperately missed since Macca left IMHO.

am sure we were linked to Arsahrvin.....would have been great for us similar to Beardsley in style of play

I would still b etempted to prise him away in January - would be very effective in our team.

You make it sound like that would be an easy thing to do

I agree with most of the article.

The current squad IS good enough to be challenging for the top 4 at least. Another one 2 QUALITY players - forward and defender would be enough to have a realistic shot at the title.

The current squad is woefully underperforming. Is this confidence, tactics, laziness? If Rafa is good enough, he should be able to identify what it is AND change it.

There are times when Rafa gets his tactics, substitutions etc spot on, BUT there are too many times when he appears to be lacking. His stubborness is his downfall.

One of the unfortunate aspects of this, is that Aquilani is going to be under huge pressure to deliver immediately. I hope that he does and that his inclusion in the team helps to restore a proper balance and shape.

There are some interesting points but as pointed out some massive flaws

Yes rafa has had some bad signings, and yes he has made some great signings.

The difference is - for liverpool/rafa - if we sign someone in the £3m to £10m bracket as he puts it - they are viewed upon as BIG signings for liverpool. If they don't quite come off they are viewed as massive flops - where as if anyone like Man Utd, Chelsea and now City sign someone in that bracket, noone bats an eyelid! ****ing chelsea have signed random players left right and centre, and never played them! noone says **** all.

I think the are a few problems at liverpool - you can't just pin it to one thing, and it's not a knee jerk reaction because it has building up for some time.

Firstly off the field has been a disaster, we have been a laughing stock ever since the americans took over - You can say whatever you want about rafa but i can only give him credit for managing to stick the job out and cope! Most managers would have thought **** this and quit - he also, irrelevent of his ability as a manager, is the only person i personally trust at Anfield as he clearly has the club as his priority and himself second.

So i do blame the off field shenanigans as a major part - we haven't been able to compete for players, we haven't given the manager the backing/support he wants and the constant bickering, is always going to have some effect on the players.

There is then the players who aren't good enough - either down to themselves (ie babel) or just not good enough (lucas ) - we have to many 'nothing' players for me - you can point fingers at rafa for signing them, but then you can point fingers at the board for not backing rafa to go out and buy who he wants. We have some very good footballers at the club, but for me all summer our priority had to be getting someone else in there who can cover gerrard/torres - we didn't and we look desperatley short in the attacking 3rd.

Then we have the good players underperforming! again you can blame the staff for not motivating them, or the players themselves

either way - something needs to happen, needs to change, to get every pulling in the same direction
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

How much did Utd spend on those Serbian lads, and that Oberton (sp?) fella? Have any of them even played yet?

£17m for the two Serbs - no-one bats an eyelid. Think it was about £4m on Obertan. £21m right there, not forgetting £17m Nani, £18m Hargreaves, £17m Anderson...the list is endless.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
