This comes from a man from who's reign we have not recovered from in 17 odd years.

If he was ANY good at managing, then he would be entitled to say what he likes, and he would be entitled to some respect.

Fact is he is an apalling manager, who ruined LFC during the 90s. This man bought Paul Stewart, Dean Saunders and the like, and sold Peter Beardsley.
    Oh I don't know.

he could have, but he needed players in 3 positions. which one world class player for 26 mill could play in 3 positions?

It's all very well saying that money could have bought us a world class player but then we'd have a squad consisting of a great first 11 and some kids
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Souness is just a cunt who failed as a manager (bar Rangers) so who is going to take notice of what he says? 4 defeats on the trot doesn't mean we're finished or that the team is not good enough. This is just ridiculous. We've got the same team as last year, minus Sami and Alonso.

What an absolute crock of ****. To state that a former player and manager can't have a ****ing opinion is pathetic, regardless of his failures as a manager. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and as far as his comments go, we do not have spark without 2 of our best players.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

No, its Graeme Souness, do you remember what we were like when HE was in charge of us?

Or how he almost took 2 clubs down in a season (Blackburn & Newcastle).

He could spend £200m and you'd be a no-man team.

                    Besides, Reina. We're a 3-man team.

He's perfectly allowed an opinion about players. He was a great one for us.

But I will never be able to take anything he says about management seriously.

And the argument that we're a two man team is just plain ridiculous. We've done well in large portions of last season without Torres and to a lesser degree Gerrard.

Well done, I wondered how long it would be before someone would come out with that rubbish.

Every team has its day, thats why there are giant killing shocks in the FA Cup and why Barca lost last night....

You put this team without Gerrard and Torres out all season and it would struggle to stay in the top 10

Yes but we had Alonso to tick us over then. An absolutely class midfielder to supply Torres when Gerrard was out helped us a lot.

All I can say is Aquilani best start firing straight away as he could be Rafa's saviour. If he starts poorly then you can guarantee the knives won't be just getting sharpened, they'll be held against his throat too.

H&G won't hesitate to get rid of him. They can see their dollars slipping away with every defeat.

We really need some sort of striker to back up Torres at least. Going into this season with no decent back up is incredible.

At the moment we almost are. Reina makes it 3, but without those 2 playing/on song we do look very average and very short of real leadership and ideas.

However, with everyone fit and playing as we know they can, we're nothing like it.

Mascherano is one of the best holding players in the business today. It may be going a bit wrong right now, but the best team in Europe didn't want him last summer for nothing.

Carra has been one of the top defenders in the league, and Europe, for many seasons. I think he's massively struggled to cope with what's been going on around him so far this year, which along with his lack of personal form is one of the reasons for our poor results. But that in itself shows we aren't a 2 man team, we need our dominating, heart on his sleeve CB as much as we need Torres & Gerrard.

That makes it 5. There, so we're a 5 man team, if they're all not fit or on form we struggle.
