    Reserves vs Sunderland

    Steve Hunter, 21 October 2009
    LFC Official Website

Liverpool Reserves take on Sunderland at Prenton Park tonight and you can watch the whole game live on LFC TV from 6.30pm.

John McMahon's side have won their last four games and take on last season's champions.

Kop hero David Fairclough provides match analysis while John Durnin is alongside Claire Rourke in the studio.

Kick-off at Prenton Park is at 7pm and our coverage starts at 6.30pm.

LFC TV was previously only available as part of the Setanta Sports Pack but following the Irish broadcaster entering into administration in June, the club have made the channel available for free on Sky Channel 434 and Virgin Media channel 544.

If you didn't previously subscribe to Setanta and haven't seen LFC TV before, this is your chance to watch the first channel dedicated entirely to England's most successful football club for free.

    Mcmahon: Hard work paying off

    Steve Hunter, 21 October 2009

John McMahon believes hard work on the training ground is behind Liverpool Reserves encouraging start to the season.

The second string are in action tonight when they welcome last season's Champions Sunderland to Prenton Park for the 7pm kick-off - a match you can watch live on LFC TV.

After the opening day 3-2 defeat at Blackburn Rovers - a game Liverpool didn't deserve to lose - McMahon's side have won their last four matches, scoring seven goals and only conceding one in the process.

The Reserve team boss is pleased with his young players' work ethic and insists there is a lot more to come from them.

"It's all down to hard work and the lads are listening to what we are trying to say and then take that onto the pitch," McMahon told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"It's all about players. If they are working hard enough, learning and listening then the rewards will come.

"Like I always say it's not just about results. For us it's about progression, development and improvement of players.

"You see different things in different people every day and as a team we are all working hard.

"We always look for improvement and we defend as a team and we score as a team.

"This is a fantastic environment to come in and work and learn off different people. At the moment things seem to be going quite well.

"Sunderland will be a tough game. They are the reserve Champions and they play good football so it should be a good game."

A better irony would be if he injured Owen. Actually, that's not ironic, more of a fantasy of a lot of fans.
