lets not get carried away by one good perfromance. all credit to the lad. he takes some amount of stick especially in the media but showed against the scum another side to him. but he is far from being 'the boss'. him and masher had a good afternoon running around breaking up passes but neither did anything spectacular.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

just expect that little bit extra from them both that would transform our game. if they could just add that special pass to their game. what they do is break up attacks but nothing more. they get rid of the ball straight afterwards. i want to see one of them take it upon themselves to find the next step up in passing terms.

i Disagree, Lucas maybe.....not masher, every time he tries to do more than what he does best it just doesnt come off. He is one of the worlds best at search and destroy let him carry on that role and not complicate it.

I think Lucas has more in his locker only time will tell though.

Well it was Lucas' pass that setup N'Gog's goal.....

well i'm not lucas' biggest fan and i dont mind admitting it but i'd be ****ing delighted if he added another dimension to his game and became a good player for us. as for mash i suppose we could just let him play his search and desrtoy game but i'd still like to see a bit more composure in his passing. i'm just a perfectionist.

lucas's pass wasn't the hardest pass in the world but i'll give him that one.

mashers shooting is pretty ****ing dismal at times. you can actually see fans half way up the stand brace themselves when he shapes to shoot.

                  Aye it's dreadful

I do cringe when you see him setting one up.

One particularly awful shot first half when he had two players free to his right.

He also stood over a free kick with Aurelio at one point. Did he really think he could fool United into thinking he might hit it.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

i am not Lucas's biggest fan either, but then i also feel massively sorry for him this season, He has been stitched up big time!! he isnt and never was Alonso's replacement and he has been asked to come in and do a man's job while squailiani gets fit. I think Lucas will be a solid squad player for us although i do feel that he may move next season as once aqiliani gets going his time on the pitch will be vastly reduced.

we'll all look pretty foolish though should masher slam one into the top corner of the net against fulham from fully 35 yards!!!

The thing is, when he used to rarely venture forward, the rare shots he had were usually pretty decent. It seems to be the more he has now the worse he gets.

Alonso didn't get loads of assists because he played very deep. He provided the pass before the assist on many an occasion. He was fantastic last season and there is no getting away from that. He was a great foil for Mascherano.

However I believe in Rafa and trust he has found an ideal replacement in Aquilani who will hopefully become a great creator for Liverpool in the coming months.

Lucas's only problem is that unlike Alonso he is not an ideal foil for Mascherano.

Assists is not the best measure of a deep-lying play-maker.
