I thought you were being sarcastic. He was warming up with the rest of the subs, so he was there when they were all celebrating.

I couldn't care if he celebrated or not to be honest.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Voronin was naturally pissed that Ngog was sent on ahead of him. Seeing him then score probably just made him realise how far down the pecking order he has gone. It is up to him to impress Rafa and get in the team, and as for not celebrating I could not give a ****.... I mean its not like Rafa ever jumps up and down when we score is it? And are you going to question his lack of committment?

Its hasnt worked out for him at Liverpool. Any striker coming to Liverpool now will be judged against Torres!! Thats tough for any striker. I dont think its a reason to dislike the lad.

Its not the best reaction, but it's understandable, he's now further down the pecking order and he knows it, and it must hurt.

It's easy for Torres to go wild in celebration, he's a certain starter. For Voronin that was just another nail in his coffin.

Neither did Rafa, let's hate him too.

I think by all accounts Voronin will be gone in January. If rumours are true we turned down a £3m bid from Hertha because they waited to long and didn't give us sufficient time to get a replacement. Some of the players we wanted (Falcao) had moved on, whilst others were too costly given that Rafa was unsure on how much other money he had knocking around the place.

Given that Michael Turner went to Sunderland for £4m, and we couldn't afford that, I'm guessing we had very little else.

But due to the little game time he's had and a possible world cup spot on other for Ukraine, I guess Voronin will want to leave for Hertha. As good as gone IMO.

The Ukraine international returned to Merseyside for the start of this season after spending the last campaign on loan at Hertha Berlin.

Voronin impressed while in Germany and Hertha were interested in a permanent deal, but the forward opted to go back to Anfield.

However, the 30-year-old has failed to earn regular chances, with David Ngog the preferred back up to Fernando Torres, and he has discussed the subject with Benitez.

Voronin's representative, Andrey Golovash, said in The Sun: "Andriy has discussed his current situation at Anfield with Rafa Benitez.

"The manager doesn't argue about his good form but his position is still the same.

"He told us, 'all is fine, just wait your chance.' Still Voronin has no intention of leaving Liverpool. He wants to play and prove he can be useful for the team."

Fresh interest has emerged from Hertha, but Golovash maintains that Voronin does not want to return.

"Andriy is not interested in a move to Hertha. We are not even considering that."

What good form would that be then?

I'm not interested in these articles TBH. He is clearly on his way out IMO.

i thought he went for a lot more than that. That is a steal and a half that

Sunderland completed the signing of Turner on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee thought to be at least £6 million, with Charlton receiving part of the transfer fee as a sell-on-clause............According to the bible that is Wikipedia.

The bible is wrong mate. Wiki that is anyway! The fee was undisclosed and was for between £4m and £4.5m. My flat mate is a mackem and his info is solid. The fee is very much dependant on the success of Sunderland and Turner, like if they stay up, reach Europe, so much for when he gets his first England cap. Could eventually end up between £10m and £15m.

Most of the objectives set out will be guaranteed to happen IMO, so it's not a bad long term deal for Hull, and a great deal overall for Sunderland. No one minds paying extre if the player is a hit.

Crazy short term deal for Hull who miss him big style, but that's another matter.

It was reported as £6 mil that would rise dependent on variables everywhere and it's hard to believe Hull would let him go for a paltry £4mil.

Sorry all, you are right. I forgot about Paul Mcshane who went as part of the deal. He was valued at £2m.

Just remembered. Still a very low figure for a very promising defender who Rafa would rather have signed.
