      Great goal
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

That's weird. I was in the Paddock for that game and distinctly remember that Jan decapitated Whiteside in a 50-50, nutmegged Robson, took it round another 14 United players whilst blindfold, lit up a cigar, came up with the basic plot for the first 3 Harry Potter books, invented the internet and then launched an ungodly Exocet from 45 yards that actually removed Gary Bailey's arms at the elbow.

        I'm fairly certain that video's a fake.

Dunno if its the best ever. Macca scored a similar one. Alonsos halfway line effort against Newcastle was better. PErhaps when you take into account it was scored by a fat bloke, it gets extra points.

Never ever thought he could run as fast as that though. He basically left Whiteside (I think) for dead.

I remember him hitting a free kick, it was either against Norwich or Coventry (I think) and the commentator saying if the net wouldn't have been there to stop it, the shot would of knocked someone out in the crowd. I used to love watching bu Jan play on his day he was boss.

Is that it? Am the only one who expected a better goal than that?

I expected a goal similar to Zimbos description Great goal, but hardl the best ever at Anfield. I suppose the oppsition has to be taken into account mind.
                            Forwards.......

I was there and amazingly it was exactly as I remembered it. I cant believe you can say you would expect better!!!!!

Jesus, he ran 70 yards, took the ball off a tough midfielder outpaced 4 or 5 players and rifled in an unstoppable shot from 20 yards

It was the best goal I have ever seen at Anfield, and the video confirmed my memory.
