On the positive as mentioned Degen played well and aquilani looked promising when brought on. Also we create a fair bit of chances, so that's good.
Voronin gets a lot of **** tonight, but I half the time it was to me poor runs from Ngog. You can see Voronin got a lot of game intelligence, but especially Ngog and Babbel made poor runs all around him making his passes look poor. While he might not be what we are seeking, I do think he can offer more than Babbel tbh.
ah well off to bed.

Well he shouldn't raise them!Originally posted by TheStig View Post
Don't think it was a penalty though, there's no way he could have got his arms out the way.

I think I can count with one hand the number of balls they've won in midfield today, together. They were as soft as butter and Arsenal just cut through them with ease. There were even times when Arsenal ran at our defence while our they were woefully out of position, you just can't leave your defence exposed like that.Originally posted by Rich View PostI thought they did pretty well. Spearing's passing and hustle caught the eye, while Plessis is a pretty solid defensive midfielder.
Spearing will not make it at the highest level, his stature is just too diminutive to make it in midfield - I mean even Mascherano must tower over him?!

good game which we should've at least drawn.
had at as many clear chances as them but didn't take them.
should have had a pen and the voronin was onside.
i thought though that we failed to control the midfield and were easily overrun.
in defence skrtl seems at bit lost at the moment.
voronin and babel were both very poor. especially voronin was a liability with his passing.
anyway, i too thought degen had a decent game.
special praise for insua. what a goal.
yeah and aquilani - more of that please!

Nah, I'm not having that, if our central midfield had been overrun like you said it was then we wouldn't have been looking at a CLOSE 2-1 defeat.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostI think I can count with one hand the number of balls they've won in midfield today, together. It's times like this I'm glad I don't have SKY and have only the streams; saves taking sneaky glimpses at the post match Sky bollocks and blowing a gasket like you all are.
