had at as many clear chances as them but didn't take them.

i thought though that we failed to control the midfield and were easily overrun.
in defence skrtl seems at bit lost at the moment.

voronin and babel were both very poor. especially voronin was a liability with his passing.

anyway, i too thought degen had a decent game.

He's an inteligent player who looks better when he has inteligent players around him and he didn't have that with Babel and Ngog IMO.

I thought Plessis had a good first half. Remember that midfield is not a full back and for a 20 year old midfield it's very difficult. Plessis also has a good passing ! I think he' s better than Spearing from what he showed.

He's definitely better than Spearing.

Plessis always looks very limited to me. Never ever seems to move beyond 2mph and just passes the ball short 5-10 yards around him. Wish he was more mobile and forward thinking with his passes. I just think he takes the easy option every time which gets us nowhere

I think Plessis is very limited. I can't see him ever breaking into the first team.

Spearing reminds me of Murphy. Good technique and a decent player. He won't be world class but I'd rather have him on the bench than a few others.

I'm gutted we're out. A trophy that has served us so well over the years. We realistically have the FA cup to win. Of course we can still win the league & CL but we're far far from favourites for either.

i can see where you coming from.
he has game intelligence but then again he doesn't stop playing one-twos when those around don't seem to catch up. therefore we end up losing the ball in good positions.

Plessis always looks very languid to me. I'd like to see him inject a bit more urgency into his play.

Agree that he's better than Spearing but not sure either of them have a long term future at the club.
