i would rather give rafa the 20 million it would cost to sack him.

Rafa benitez is regarded a one of the best managers in the world.....and a highly respected one, if he got sacked i am not sure how many top managers would want the job to be honest.

it would be real madrid-esque madness and any top manager would not want to come into cirque de anfield at the moment we would end up with Martin O Neil or thank **** strachan has a job now!!!

I'd stick with Rafa, but as I keep saying his position should be assessed at the end of the season - just like it always should be.

If the season continues as it is, ends in disaster and Rafa gets the boot, there is one candidate who would be streets ahead of everyone else.

Jose Mourinho. He may not come across as a nice bloke to many on here, but it's not a popularity contest. If it was then maybe we'd be looking at giving Nelson Mandela the job. I hear he's a nice bloke.

All this fuss about the Liverpool way. I'll tell you what else the Liverpool way is about - Winning. And Jose Mourinho's record speaks for itself. He could call me a cunt and sshhhh me every game for all I care as long as he won the league.

But this talk is still some distance away from really thinking about. Rafa could yet turn it around and I could not say I would be totally suprised if we beat Lyon with half a team and then went on a winning run.
        Forwards.......

It would mean so much less to me to win the league under Mourinho that it would under any other manager.

I think Steve would make a crap manager if i'm honest, he is a great player, but he shows very little in the way of leadership and game intelligence...great instinctive player, amazing ability in the final third of the pitch, but i wouldn't trust him to organise a team defensively....he'd be a good coach mind, but not a good manager.

Carra on the other hand i think would love to model himself on Rafa

But it would mean even less to finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th.

How can people on this site honestly say that the likes of Hodgson, Curbishley or Bruce would be better than Mourinho? Crazy.

I didn't say he was a bad manager, I just wouldn't want him anywhere near our club to be honest.

There's been many examples of real life not matching up to that idea. If we were to stick with that then the likes of lothar Matthaus and Tony Adams would be fantastic managers. They're not. Whilst the likes of Wenger and Benitez had limited playing careers and Mourinho was just Bobby Robsons interpreter at Barca!

Really not sure that's a tough call. Don't get me wrong I'm absolutely desperate to see us lift the league title again, but I would feel we were selling the soul of our club down the river by bringing Mourinho in. Maybe that's too self righteous and I might change my mind were it actually to happen, but I doubt it.

Really want that Adam Pepper guy to take over when Rafa retires, he has a good head on him that Pepper. Hopefully, by then, he has had many successful years in our midfield, winning trophy after trophy.

I don't want Rafa to go but if he did go it would have to be Wenger for me.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
