    Should we give up?

Should we give up on this season.and let torres and gerrard get fully fit without risking using them, let them come back when they are fully 100% ready.
Play babel upfront with voronin.Maybe lose out on a top four place and win nothing.
The price of the club drops, gillette and hicks need to sell desperately
they sell the club on the cheap.Arab buys us,and spends a fortune on our club:Builds the new stadium, gives rafa the funds to buy the players he wants.

Would you be happy with this?

I'd be happy once we have a premier league trophy in the cabinet rather then that pretty old lady that has been gathering dust since King Kenny left (and could he play!!)

            No

That all sounds well in theory (to get rid of H&G) but whose to say that's how things will work out? Maybe H&G will stay and force us to sell players, maybe missing out on the champions league will many of our better players leave, we can't pay top wages and can't afford big signings, hence forcing us into a slide. We should carry on pushing trying to finish as high up the table as possible, it's still theoretically possible for us to win the league and 4th spot is certainly within our reach we should push on and try to do as well as we possibly can in all our remaining games

I think you need to change the negative thread title.

Since when have we ever given up?

We are going through a bad time at the moment but the destruction of the Mancs at home has been like a little ray of sunshine through the dark clouds.

Things will get better and no, I wouldn't want to see the club drop in value and lose our two best players for a season.

No ****ing way. We do not give up, if Torres needs surgery let him have it. Same with Gerrard. This club is bigger than any player(s) and it is a very sad day when we effectively contemplate packing the season in in November!!!

Bottom line for me is that the other players need to step up to the mark. What better chance will they ever get FFS. At the end of this season we will have a very clear idea about which players are not good enough for this club.

**** no, we need to fight for CL footy, it just wouldn't be the same without us.

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Suppose we'd given up when we were sat in the dressing room 3-0 down against Milan at half time in Istanbul...

... as that game proved anything is possible

                              Seconded.

There is no justification whatesoever for the suggestions made in the original post.
